Tangihanga
Tangihanga will always take priority over any bookings. It will often happen at short notice. If this occurs, you can have your deposit refunded or reschedule to another date. Payment methods:
Bank deposit, Credit card (we prefer not to carry cash or cheque, but if there is no other option please talk to us.
Payment
We require full payment of balance 7 days prior to your arrival
Failure to make payment on time will result in loss of your booking and bond
Rubbish
All rubbish must be removed and taken by the hirer.
If rubbish is left by the hirer we will deduct from the bond to remove any rubbish left at the marae
Use of the Chillers
Due to the large draw on electricity there will be an additional fee of $50 to run the chillers.
$50 - this is for use of the walk in chillers. We offer free usage of the standard fridges in the kitchen.
Payment Terms
Hire charges are applied to the whole complex. We do not have part charges for just one building.
Upon booking, the Hirer accepts responsibilty for any damages, losses or remedial cleaning over and above the $200 bond.
The following charges are current for Whananaki Marae and are subject to change by the Marae Trustees at any time.
A $200 bond is payable upfront for all bookings to cover breakages, loss, repairs or remedial cleaning. The bond is refundable after inspection of the Marae complex at the conclusion of the hire and will be refunded if the Marae is left in a satisfactory condition (how you found it.) Your booking is not confirmed until the bond is paid.
Optional Extras
Cleaning - up to $400 (Price on application)
We can offer a full cleaning service. Please tick Yes on the booking form if you would like to include cleaning.
Please note your group will be required to remove linen and stack mattresses, wash and put away your dishes and we will take care of the rest.
Linen - $2.50 per set
This will calculated and charged on exit or can be deducted from your bond.
If you choose not to use the marae linen, we ask that you BYO sheets and pillowcases. For hygiene purposes we require all mattresses and pillows to be covered.
Catering
We can offer catering for your event. Please tick yes on the booking form if you would like to get a quote. Prices will vary, so it is best we quote this for you on request.
Smart TV / Video conferencing unit
We have a wifi enabled smart tv-pc hub available for hire. $100
WIFI
We offer FREE WIFI, for all bookings, you will be given a one off login and password to use during your hire.
